2025 celebrates the quarter century of the first exhibition of what will become Home Frit' Home and its Micro Fries Museum from Brussels! On August 26, 2000, on the 3rd floor of 242 rue des Alliés, 1190 Brussels-Forest, an exhibition by Gilles Houben, known as the "painter of fritkots", is being held. Born at the initiative of Frites.be, it welcomes among its guests Jules Jean Vanobbergen, aka le Grand Jojo, and his buddy Lou Deprijck.

Fritkot Culture is the fruit of a long tradition. The history of the Fry? It all starts, of course, with the potato, introduced to our region by 16th century explorers. But it would be necessary to wait until the 18th century before it was widely consumed.
