800+ objects, documents and creations around the fries! A micro cinema that only shows clips and short films immersed in the fragrant vapors of the fry stalls. Your joyful program, free and with free admission, this first weekend of March 2024!

Belgian Fries are a party!

And this Belgian specialty is above all about conviviality and the pleasure of tasting at an affordable price. Where do you eat the best fries? In the fry stalls, of course! Where you will find the authentic fries artists. It is in their wake that the so-called Fritkotcultuur has crystallized since the end of the 19th century. This includes the customs and habits of frituristes («fryers») and fries lovers, and the way they express themselves in our daily lives, but also in popular music, literature, comics, art, etc. At the end of July 2017, the Fritkotcultuur saved the reputation of the fries stands in the streets! It was recognized by all language communities in Belgium as intangible, cultural and oral heritage. The tradition of fries stalls in Belgium is a living heritage!
